PASTOR & EVANGELIST ISAAC HARRIS

The Story Behind The Man

Pastor and Evangelist Isaac Harris was born March 21, 1971 to Ms. Sheila M. Garrett and Mr. Franklin C. Harris Sr. and was ordained from his mother’s womb to preach the end time gospel message to God’s people. His mother told him when he was about the age of twelve that he was chosen by God to be a preacher. Of course he, being bashful and a preteen, brushed her off as if her words were idle tales. She further informed him that of all her children which were born to her, he was the only one God spoke to her about after she had given birth to him in the St. Paul hospital room in Dallas, Texas. She said, “He grabbed hold of a utensil that the doctors used for baby deliveries and the doctors were trying to get it out of his hands and they could not pry it free.” She then heard the voice of the Lord speak to her saying, “He shall hold to the Gospel and never let go!” After this she said he let the utensil go himself. The doctors afterwards exclaimed to her, “You have a strong child here!” Pastor Harris’ mother would later tell him after many unsuccessful attempts to get him to believe he was called to preach that, “The Lord himself is going to have to come and tell you what you are here for because you won’t listen to me”.

And behold to young Pastor Harris’ surprise his father, who is also a preacher, came by one day and told his mother that “God sent me to get Isaac”. As soon as he got to his father’s house and settled into his new room, he became tired and fell into a trance being about the age of 14 years old, God came to him. He said, “You have been chosen before the foundation of the world and sent into this earth realm for my purposes alone. He also said, “you cannot do what your brothers do”, and again he said “You are the strength of your brethren”. The Lord further said to young Pastor Harris that, “You should not look to the left nor to the right, but you should look to me, yeah, look to me and I will bless you abundantly! Pastor Harris has answered the call of God since 1988 and founded the Revelation of Jesus Christ Ministries in 1993 only working as an Evangelist preaching in school gymnasiums, on street corners, in churches and ministries locally and abroad. He began his pastoral ministry in 2002 with only five people in his living room and has since grown to many more in the location that the church currently occupies. The best is yet to come.

What I Teach

May God richly bless you all. Now, here is a brief overview of what I teach on salvation. We basically follow the teachings of Christ and his holy apostles and prophets. Now we all know about John 3:16, but the key word in the scripture is “believeth”. Salvation is the gift of God to all believers. A true believer believes unto righteousness according toRomans 10:10. It is not just a mere lip worship, but rather a worship where a man’s spirit is transformed into the glorious image of God, making him bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. II Cor. 5:17 states “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature {creation}: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new”. Paul taught that God hath reconciled us to Himself by his son Jesus Christ, but this is only through our faith in Him. It is by faith that it might be by grace that we are saved, Romans 4:16. I do believe that a man must be born again because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. You see, true faith in Jesus Christ brings about a metamorphosis changing one from darkness to light, because the darkness is past and the true light now shineth, I John 2:8. The attitude and attributes of Christ must be birthed into us, as I Peter 1:23 explains. True salvation is deliverance from sins deadly influences, for he came to save us from our sins.

Now concerning water baptism, I do believe in water baptism. However, I do not believe that water baptism is what delivers us, as Peter stated, and I paraphrase, {it’s not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but it is the answer of a good conscience toward God} by the resurrection of Christ. It is a type of our salvation reminding us that we are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God. So I believe in baptism because it teaches us that we are dead with Christ and have been risen to new life in Christ, as Romans 6:4 stipulates.

I have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I can only speak concerning my personal experience, it happened to me just like it happened to them in the bible. When the Holy Ghost came in, He brought in a new tongue and I knew it was Him because I had no control over Him. He gave me the utterance; at first I was scared I had been seeking God for hours for Him in the living room closet. I saw a light shine on me and He suddenly came upon me.

As concerning the Godhead, I view the Godhead as simply this,Deuteronomy 6:4. The Lord is one Lord. The Word {Jesus} was with God, and the Word {Jesus} was God. Without Him {the Word} was not anything made that was made. The Word is Son, and the God who gave it, is Father, its originator and these are one entity inseparably linked together throughout eternity. Now this one divine entity is the Holy Ghost which is only given to those who obey God’s word, Acts 5:32. Remember what Jesus told the apostles before His crucifixion about the Holy Ghost, or spirit of truth, John 14:15-17. In the 17th verse he said “for He {the Holy Ghost} dwelleth with you and shall be in you”. He couldn’t live in them as long as He tabernacled among them. Check out verse 18, “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you”. He didn’t exclude Himself because He wanted them to know that He was the spirit that revealed God’s truth. For He had just taught them that He was the way, the truth, and the life, but while He was in the body, he was functioning as the son of man. Now He must leave the body and go back to Almighty Father. The Word had to be made flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. For God had made Him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him, II Cor. 5:21. Christ is our example of the ultimate God man, for He is the ultimate God man. As He is, so are we in this world. Amen.
